View 1 RepliesMy reverse sensors have stopped working. As soon as you put in reverse, the on off button will light up and be telling you that it is off. What is going on and how do I correct this?
View 3 RepliesMy 2005 F250 started stuttering, lurching, having wild swings in rpms, nearly dying at stop signs, no pickup when stepping on the gas, then taking off like a bat outta hell. After reading many, many posts here and on other sites, I have concluded that the most likely culprit is the ICP sensor, so I picked one up today (along with a EBP sensor - another story). It appears from the many posts that I have read that Ford/Navistar have frequently changed the location of these sensors. My question is: Where are the ICP and EBP sensors located on the 2005s (actual manufacture date is 07/2004)?
View 6 Replies2006 Avalon Limited: getting a P0015 code. My mechanic says it has to do with cam sensors(?) "cam pos actuator b bank 1: timing over retarded." Dealer told mechanic that they've never seen one of these sensors go and to check the wiring harness for damage; mechanic found none. 153,000 miles.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2005 Impala with the 3.4 engine and 118,000 miles. About 2 years ago I had a code P0141 and since we didn't know for sure which oxygen sensor was out we replaced both of them. The P0141 code did not stop occurring after both sensors were changed. I read on an Impala forum that if you didn't replace the sensors with AC Delco the codes would continue so I didn't worry about it until my gas mileage starting going down recently. I ordered new AC Delco oxygen sensors and my husband replaced them Saturday, the old ones were sooted up pretty badly. Today a new code appeared, it is P0140, O2 sensor circuit no activity. What the problem might be now.
View 7 RepliesThis past monday morning I got in my 05 Legacy GT w/ 82,000 miles. When I turned the key it acted as if the starter engaged for a second then disengaged and made the typical motor winding sound. I tried it several more times with the same result. So I reluctantly called my local repair shop and had it hauled over for what I thought was possibly a bad starter. The mechanic went out to check it to see what it was doing and when he did, it started right up…..!! He said that when it started it ran as if it had been flooded for a minute or two then cleared up. Throughout the day he drove it around and started it about 20 times and said it “appears” to be ok. It’s a small shop that I trust with my other cars but they don’t have the tech to pull codes on a subaru. So my question is, what was the cause of this issue? Neutral Switch? Cam Sensor? or a Fluke?
View 1 RepliesWhere are they located?
View 7 RepliesSo Wife did this nice "How-To" for the site and then we celebrated with a trip to Steak N' Shake. Halfway there I could feel it running a little off so I pulled up the app on the phone and connected it. I pulled up the codes and this is what I got.
So am I looking at an O2 sensor you think? It's shifting early and chugging a little as well. When driving it sounds a little like I have dual exhaust or a flowmaster. When sitting still at a light there is a small bump like bass turned WAY low coming from the exhaust as well. I turned around halfway there and went home and we took the wife's Highlander
Recently smogged my excursion, passed the emissions but failed self test. O2 sensors not ready. Drive it 40 miles everyday and still wont pass.
View 10 RepliesIs it possible to turn off the backup sensors on my X ?
When I am towing these things drive me nuts!
I just replaced the transfer case BW 4405. And I noticed that the 2 sensors (front drive shaft and rear drive shaft) are bad. What is the name of these two sensors? I'm looking for a brand new ones...
View 13 RepliesI've replaced the rear sensor and the two front ones on my 2002 Ltd, but the lights still on! It's driving me crazy...what now?
View 7 RepliesOutside backup sensors both went out on my03' Excursion, but the inside ones are still working.
View 3 RepliesI have a 1998 Ford Explorer 4.0 V6 with 200K miles. I plugged an OBII scanner with live data readings and my o2 sensors never relayed any information (voltage), they all ead -100% and the voltage never changed. Could all four be bad? I left the truck running for 15 minutes with the scanner attached and nothing changed.
BANK 1 SENSOR 1 = -100%
BANK 1 SENSOR 2 = -100%
BANK 2 SENOR 1 = -100%
BANK 2 SENOR 2 = - 100%
Just started doing this. Sometimes I can get them to turn on in I hit the button enough. Switch going bad?
View 12 RepliesI can't find any info about this "always on" reverse light issue. My searches show that most people with the problem only have it when they put it in to revers. Mine's broken but the light is on all of the time indicating it's not working.
I can go through the sensors, but I think the system only recognizes sensor failures when the car is in reverse. What's my first/next step?
So when I put truck in reverse my back up sensors constantly beep. Not a beep beep beep like they are supposed to. More like a annoying Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep . Doesn't do this all of the time but most of the time.
View 7 RepliesIt's abnormally cold here in the Northern Va area single digits with windchills in the negatives. I ran through the car wash, one of those that hand dries it afterwards to get the salt off my truck. After running the roads I went to back in to a spot and the sensors are going off. Nothing is blocking them so I'm thinking water got inside and froze?
View 4 RepliesMy question is about a 2000 ford windstar with 3.8 engine. Does this vehicle have a coolant temp sensor and sending unit or just a sensor?
View 7 RepliesI replaced my knock sensors on 2004 5.4L and now it will not idle without me keeping foot on gas. Idles down to +- 450-500 rpms. If I hold down gas pedla seems to run smooth. What to check to fix this problem?
View 10 RepliesI have a 1997 ford f 150 with a 4.2 ltr v6 the check engine light came on so i took it to autozone and had the code pulled. They told me that the o2 sensor bank2 sensor 1 which is before the converter had a slow response so i checked the wiring and bought the o2 sensor. They told me bank 2 is the passenger side but well i changed the1st sensor on the passenger side and reset the code and drove the truck about 130 miles . and the light came back on. After reading a few posts. I think they told me wrong is the drivers side bank 2 or is the passenger side bank 2 ...
